Gasim’s screenwriting credits include the 2009 romantic horror film Udhabaani, directed by Amjad Ibrahim, where he is credited as one of the writers. The film follows a narrative blending romantic elements with horror motifs, and it became one of the notable genre films of its time in Maldivian cinema. 

He also co‑wrote Udhabaani 2 (2024), again with director Amjad Ibrahim. In this continuation of the franchise, Gasim helped shape a story about a married couple whose lives are disrupted by a supernatural entity sowing discord and fear, reflecting his continued engagement with horror storytelling. 

Gasim’s contributions to these scripts highlight his role in developing horror narratives within the local film industry, blending traditional Dhivehi storytelling with genre‑driven elements.
