
Abdulla Muaz is a Maldivian actor and filmmaker who has worked in film and television in various capacities, including acting, directing, editing, and producing. He was born on 14 December 1970 in Velidhoo, Maldives.
As an actor, Muaz has appeared in films such as Hukuru Vileyrey (2006), Heylaa (2006), Hiyy Rohvaanulaa (2009), and Niuma (2010), mostly in supporting roles. He has also worked behind the camera, directing and editing projects including the anthology segment Ruqyah in Hatharu Manzaru (2021) and the thriller film Leena (2019), which he co-produced and edited.
In addition to his creative work, Muaz has been involved in film administration and policy. In 2024, he was appointed Chairperson of the Maldives Film Association (MFA), having previously served as Vice Chairperson and as a Senior Executive Director at the National Centre for the Arts (NCA).
