Ibrahim Wisan (born 27 February 1977), also known by his nickname Kandi, is a Maldivian cinematographer, actor, and film director who has been active in Dhivehi cinema since the mid‑1990s. 

Wisan began his film career as an actor in 1996, appearing in Hifehettumeh Neiy Karuna opposite notable Maldivian performers such as Niuma Mohamed and Arifa Ibrahim. Over the following years, he took on a number of acting roles in films including Zalzalaa (2000) and Ginihila (2003), contributing to a range of genre films from horror to drama. 

Alongside acting, Wisan developed his work behind the camera, earning credits as cinematographer on multiple Maldivian films. His camera work is featured in productions such as the political thriller Maryam (2021), a film he also directed which follows a woman’s political journey and family struggles. 

Wisan’s directorial projects include Vee Beyvafa (2016), a melodrama released after years in post‑production, as well as Maryam (2021), strengthening his presence as a filmmaker who navigates both narrative and technical roles. 

Across acting, cinematography, and directing, Ibrahim Wisan has contributed to the visual and narrative landscape of Maldivian cinema, engaging with projects that span genre and format while continuing to shape his multi‑faceted career in the local film industry.
