
Ahmed Tholal is a Maldivian screenwriter and writer known for his contributions to Dhivehi television and film. He has worked on a range of scripted projects, including sit-com and feature film writing, bringing contemporary storytelling to local audiences.
One of his notable credits is as a co-creator and writer of the Maldivian sitcom Rumi á Jannat, produced under Dark Rain Entertainment. The series, created with Aishath Fuad Thaufeeq, follows the early days of marriage between two people with contrasting worldviews and personalities, and it aired on Medianet’s digital platform.
In addition to television writing, Ahmed Tholal has worked in film. He is credited as the writer of Hindhukolheh (2023), a Maldivian romantic drama directed by Ali Shifau, which stars Sharaf Abdulla and Aminath Rashfa.
